DS 2500 brake pads – Brake pads that are suitable for both the street and the track
Ferodo DS2500 brake pads are popular with people who occasionally take their car on sporting outings. The DS2500 brake pads have a better coefficient of friction and significantly better resistance to higher temperatures.
They dust more than an original brake pad, but give much more confidence during sporty driving or driving on the track. The DS2500 even gradually increases friction as the temperature of the blocks increases. The heat transfer to the calipers will also be smaller, so that the fluid will not heat up as quickly. This allows you to drive many more laps than you would normally be used to. The good pedal feel allows you to modulate the braking pressure better.
The best combination for street and track:
- Still very good bite when starting cold, which is a must for road use
- Average coefficient of friction of 0.41 gives confidence and very good braking power over a wide temperature range. This applies to almost the entire temperature range, where the friction with the temperature decreases with the DS Performance.
- Very resistant to higher temperatures and will not wear faster like an original brake pad
- Due to the special back plate, there is less heat transfer between the block and the caliper
