On cars that still have a throttle cable on the pedal, the throttle cable will have to be disconnected first. Also check if any sensors are still connected to the pedal before removing it. On cars with an electrical system, all you need to do is disconnect the sensors from the pedal. Once you have disconnected everything, all you need to do is screw the new pedal into place correctly. Of course, the sensors and any throttle cable must also be reconnected to the pedal.
