Tie wraps

Tie wraps are plastic straps with a locking mechanism at one end and a pointed tip at the other. The strap is covered in ridges. Once you tighten a cable tie, the locking mechanism secures behind the ridges. This makes them single-use, but they are adjustable and require no additional parts to work. This makes them convenient and quick to use.

Cable ties are available in white or black. The black version is specially designed for outdoor use. The black colour makes them less sensitive to UV radiation. White cable ties that are exposed to a lot of sunlight turn yellow and can eventually break because the plastic becomes brittle.
