DS UnoBrake Pads – Durable circuit brake pads for long-term circuit use
Another step above the track-worthy DS3000 brake pads. The DS Uno brake pads are suitable for long-term track use. The DS Uno brake pads have a similar friction coefficient as the DS3000, but over a larger temperature range. This way, the friction is maintained up to 750 degrees, while the DS3000 is suitable for up to approximately 500 degrees. This makes the DS Uno suitable for competitive racing.
The DS Uno provides significantly more friction as the temperature of the blocks increases. The blocks perform optimally from 250 degrees and the friction coefficient remains optimal up to 750 degrees. This way you can brake with consistent braking pressure from 250 degrees to 750 degrees. You can see that with the DS3000 brake pads the braking power slowly decreases at high temperatures.
The heat transfer to the brake calipers will also be smaller, meaning that the fluid will not heat up as quickly. This allows you to drive many more laps fast than you would normally be used to.
The best combination for street and track:
Relatively good bite when cold. It does perform considerably better at temperature.
Average friction coefficient of 0.48 provides confidence and very good braking power over a very wide temperature range. This applies to almost the entire temperature range up to 750 degrees.
Very resistant to higher temperatures, whereby the DS Uno remains friendly to the brake discs. Unlike the DS3000 which causes more wear on the disk.
Very good dosage and pedal feel.
The special back plate reduces heat transfer between the block and the brake caliper
