Brake fluid tester

Suitable for brake fluid in class: DOT4.

LED color coding:

• Green: very good, no water
• Green + yellow: in good condition, less than 1% water
• Green + Yellow + Yellow: Replacement recommended, approximately 2% water
• Green + Yellow + Yellow + Red: Replacement recommended, about 3% water
• Green + yellow + yellow + red + red: replace, at least 4% water

Why replace brake fluid:

• Brake fluid has the property of attracting water
• The brake fluid can become hot, which can cause the water present to boil
• That means air bubbles and as a result: loss of braking power!
• Water in brake fluid also causes corrosion (rust) in the brake system
• Corrosion has adverse effects such as stuck brake cylinders and leakage
