Please your vehicle
The brake shoe holds the brake linings in place, and pushes them against the outer drum when braking. Drum brakes are mainly found on older vehicles. In modern cars, they are only found on the rear axle, with a disc brake system on the front axle. The brake lining wears out the fastest and can be replaced separately by an experienced mechanic. Usually, the entire drum brake is replaced. For safety and even wear, you will want to replace all brake shoes at the same time.
