Why do headlights become dull?

In most cars, the headlight lenses are made of a transparent plastic with a coating layer over it. The headlight lenses are exposed to a lot of sunlight, stone chips, rain and other weather influences. Unfortunately, it is therefore almost impossible to prevent the headlights from discolouring, becoming dull or scratching over time. Especially when the car is outside a lot, you will not escape this. In the case of dull headlights, you can choose to polish the headlights, or you can replace the headlight lenses. Replace headlight lens

You can then carefully jack the lens off with, for example, a paint stripper or screwdriver. When installing the new lens, ensure a good seal between the lens and the unit so that the headlamp remains watertight.
