How does a car radiator work?

The engine coolant that runs through the cooling system gets hot in the engine block. This liquid then flows through the radiator, where it gets cooled thanks to a system of small pipes and cooling fins (these are thin metal plates that conduct the heat). The cooled off liquid flows back into the engine to cool the engine. From there the process repeats itself.

The last step is to turn the engine on so that it heats up and the coolant runs through your cooling system.
