The high-performance intercooler from Wagner Tuning features a new competition core (Tube Fin) measuring 600 mm x 204.6 mm x 80 mm (9.8 liters), specifically developed for the requirements of the Fiat 500 Abarth. This high-performance core offers an 85% larger frontal surface area and 131% more core volume compared to the standard intercooler. The cast aluminum end tanks were designed in CAD and optimized using CFD simulations (for ideal internal airflow).
For optimal heat exchange, the WAGNERTUNING high-performance intercooler was installed in the car, replacing the two original side intercoolers. The newly developed elliptical hose connection at the outlet of this intercooler and the WAGNERTUNING silicone hoses ensure maximum reduction in the intake air distance. Due to the generally lower back pressure of the entire intercooler system and the short intake air distance, the overall response was significantly improved.
