Radiator caps & expansion tanks

The cooling system of the car is equipped with an expansion tank with a sealing cap and radiator cap on top. The coolant is stored in the expansion tank and keeps the engine at the right temperature while driving. The radiator cap of the expansion tank regulates the pressure in the cooling system. If the pressure builds up too high, the valve in the radiator cap opens to release the pressure.
