Suspension sphere

The way a suspension sphere spring works is quite simple. It consists of a metal sphere filled with nitrogen under high pressure. A diaphragm separates the nitrogen from the hydraulic fluid. When the car drives over a bump, the hydraulic fluid is pushed into the air spring, causing the diaphragm to press against the nitrogen and store the energy. As soon as the pressure decreases, the energy is released and pushes the fluid back, raising the car again.
