DOT 4 brake fluid is a high performance brake fluid recommended for use in the hydraulic brake and clutch systems of all automobiles, commercial vehicles and motorcycles for which a glycol-based DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid is specified.

With a higher boiling point than DOT 3 fluid, this fluid is ideally suited for higher performance vehicles where the braking system normally achieves moderate braking temperatures. To avoid damage to your vehicle or accidents, it is very important to use the correct brake fluid.

Without the correct brake fluid, the brakes and fluid can become too hot. And when the brake fluid boils, the brakes no longer function optimally.
