ISO connector

The ISO connector connects your car stereo to the wiring in your car. The red-brown and black connection on one side of the connector fits the connection in the car (if the car has ISO). The other side of the connector is unique per car stereo make and model. At Winparts you can search for your ISO connector by registration number.

Most common problems with ISO connectors

No sound: If you don't hear any sound, check that the speaker wires are properly connected to the ISO connector. Also, make sure the speakers are not defective.
Poor reception: Check the aerial cable and make sure it is properly connected to the ISO connector. Sometimes a damaged aerial cable can cause interference.
Interference or noise: This can be caused by poor contacts in the ISO connector. Clean the contacts and make sure they are securely fastened.
Incorrect connection: If you have connected the ISO connector incorrectly, this can cause problems. Check the connections and follow the correct colour codes.

ISO connector

An ISO connector, also called an ISO cable, is a handy bundle of different cables that you use to connect your car stereo. In the past, connecting a car stereo was a technical chore that required you to connect each cable individually. With an ISO connector, that's a thing of the past. The connector contains all the necessary connections, except for the antenna connection. After connecting the ISO connector, all you have to do is connect the antenna.
