Types of wiper blades

At Winparts you can buy different types of wiper blades: the traditional or regular and the so-called 'flat blade' wipers. An advantage of the flat blade type is that a bracket construction is no longer used. This reduces the resistance on the window and reduces noise caused by the wind. The latest car models are often equipped with these flat blade wipers. In addition, there is also a difference in the connection of the wipers. There are windscreen wipers with different click connection, but also ones with a hook connection. Before ordering new wiper blades, please check that the connection matches with the one that is on your car. This way you will always order the right ones!

Wiper blade replacement

It is recommended to replace your wiper blades at least once a year. Even when the car is not used, the quality deteriorates, because the rubber dries out. There are some symptoms that would suggest that the wiper blades need replacement. The first symptoms is a squeaky or grinding noise. Another symptom that suggests a worn windscreen wiper is when they start to leave streaks on the window. If you notice a consistent film of grime on your windshield, even after you've sprayed windscreen wiper fluid to clean it off, that's another sign your wipers need to be replaced. The wipers can also bounce, which means that wiper blades does not press hard enough against the screen, causing the wiper to falter or bounce. Replacing the wiper blade is very easy. You can check our instruction videos how to replace them yourself!
