Anti-roll bar

The anti-roll bar or sway bar is a metal bar running from left to right between the car tyres. The sway bar can be found on both the front and rear axles of the car. The bar provides a connection between the left and right wheel suspension. The function of the anti-roll bar link is to prevent the car from leaning to one side. The torsion bar is attached to the body with brackets, bushes and a ball joint which can be found at the ends. Each of the ball joints can rotate in a different directions. The anti-roll bar has a lot to endure and can, therefore, break over time.
