Intake manifold pressure sensor

Each car is equipped with two pressure sensors, an intake pressure sensor and an exhaust pressure sensor.

An intake pressure sensor measures the air pressure in cars with a turbo. On the basis of this measurement, the fuel injection and the ignition moment are determined, among other things. The air pressure is not the same at every speed. In addition, the shape and position of the exhaust, intake and camshaft also affect the amount of air entering the engine. So it is very important that this is measured properly so that the engine can perform correctly.

The outlet pressure sensor is also known as the differential pressure sensor. This device measures the air pressure in the exhaust and can use this measurement to determine whether the particle filter or particle filter is getting clogged. When a particle filter becomes clogged, this can lead to increased fuel consumption. In addition, the car may lose power. When this is measured by the pressure sensor, the particle filter will regenerate. This means that the particle filter is cleaned and the particulates are burned so that the filter is clean again. When the pressure sensor of the turbo is broken, you can notice this by increased fuel consumption, reduced power and less ability to accelerate.
