Knock sensor function

The knock sensor is simply a microphone that measures the sound and vibrations of your engine. A combustion engine normally runs very regularly and predictably. Knocksensor

This can be caused by a leak in the intake, resulting in too much oxygen, fuel with an incorrect octane rating, or excessive pressure in the combustion chamber.
