Windscreen washer reservoir

The windshield washer reservoir is a storage tank for the windshield washer fluid. This part is made of white or clear plastic and has a removable cap. 1. Remove the windshield washer fluid from the reservoir.

2. Locate the reservoir and loosen the bolts holding the reservoir.

3. Remove the plug which is connected to the washer pump.

4. Disassemble the fluid line from the reservoir. This can sometimes be secured with a clamp. You can use pliers to get it loose.

5. Remove the windshield washer reservoir from the car. Next, be sure to remove the washer pump from the reservoir before discarding it. The washer pump can be reused in the new reservoir, if it is still in good condition.

6. Then install the washer pump into the new reservoir.

7. You can now install the new windshield washer reservoir in the car.

8. Also reinstall the plug and fluid line properly in the reservoir.

9. Finally, refill the reservoir with the correct windshield washer fluid.

10. Test that everything is properly connected by turning on the windshield washers.
