Windshield wiper arm broken

Wiper arms and the linkages generally last a lot longer than the wiper blades. The arm and linkage may break if you use the wipers on frosted windows or to push snow off the windshield. This suspension ensures that the wiper blades remain in contact with the window. When the suspension no longer functions properly, the wiper blades will make noise. Replacing wiper linkage

To replace the wiper linkage, first loosen the wiper arms. In the heading below you can read how to remove and replace the wiper arms. When you have disassembled the arms, you can open the hood and remove the cover from the linkage. Then the nuts with which the linkage is attached must be loosened. Carefully remove the linkage, it is still connected to the wiper motor with a plug. You disconnect this plug and you can now connect it to the new linkage. All parts can now be replaced in the opposite direction.

Replacing wiper arm

Replacing the wiper arm is a simple job and you can easily do it yourself. For this you have to look where the pivot point of the arm is. When you have found the pivot point you will see a screw, which is sometimes still hidden under a cap. When you loosen this screw, the wiper arm can be easily removed. Clean the surface and then the new wiper arm can be fitted. To get the wipers in excellent condition again, you can choose to also replace the wiper blades.
